Most of the time register operations can be optimized to a single assembly instruction. That being said, aggressive -Os optimization can lead the compiler to think that factorizing calls to setBitRange is a good idea. But we really want register operations to be inlined (and therefore optimized as a single instruction), so we enforce inlining setBitRange and REGS_FIELD macros.
